2.2 Local Data Storage
Your map data is stored locally in your browser via:
URL Hash Fragments: All block positions, colors, and labels are encoded in the URL after the # symbol. This data never leaves your browser unless you share the URL.
Cookies: Only used to remember your analytics consent preference (traplace_analytics_consent).
2.3 Shortened URLs
When you create a shortened URL (/s/<code>), we temporarily store the mapping between the short code and your original URL path in Redis with a time-to-live (TTL). This data is:
Stored for 7 days from last access
TTL automatically renewed to 7 days when the shortened URL is accessed
Not linked to any personal information
Automatically deleted after expiry

Analytics: To understand usage patterns, improve features, and fix bugs
Service Operation: To provide shortened URL functionality
